Kenai Pro Question
« on: January 14, 2022, 06:12:33 pm »
Wondering if anyone can help me out.  I just used my new Kenai pro thermal today for the first time, and I noticed that the front bar wasn't sitting on the ice like it should.  However when I got home I put it on the flat garage floor and sure enough the bar sat perfectly on the floor.  Is this because of uneven ice potentially and will be better with more snow on the ice?  Anyone else have this problem?

Did you have some snow under the sleigh?

That would cause the front bar to be off the ice.

The ice would not be uneven or at least of enough to be of a concern.

I would go with the set up on the garage floor.

Yeah I was setting up on a little bit of snow, tomorrow I'll test out on bare ice in a couple spots as a comparison.  Thanks!

Yea!  The snow would do it.

I would not worry if the front bar was a little off the ice.

Have fun!

Much better today, I only set up on bare ice on all my spots an no issues.  I also took a few small river stones to lay on the skirt since there's not much snow out there to pack on top and even with it being -25 today I was sweating in there with my buddy heater on low!  Love that hut, and being able to move much easier than my pop up
