March 13th
« on: March 13, 2021, 06:55:36 pm »
Went out for perch at 4pm today after work. Shoreline is shot...Almost turned around and went back home but was able to get on the ice without getting my feet wet. Ice went from 15 inches to 8 in the last 3 days. Crazy! Caught a couple dinks and then the rod bent right over. Off by 530 with dinner in bucket.

Hey VB, how thick is your hole cover plate?  I'm going to make one.  Looks like about a half inch and black to warm in the sun

Yup. Half inch. Works great to keep the hole from freezing and losing your stuff down it.
