First White Fish Of 2020
« on: January 28, 2020, 10:24:41 pm »
Before you watch this video please understand that you are responsible for your own safety.  Risk management, experience and preparation are all very important when traveling on thin unpredictable ice.

I am not recommending anyone step foot on any ice no matter the thickness if you do not feel comfortable, and don't ever be complacent when it comes to your safety.

If anyone would like to know what was required for both myself and my friend to feel confident in our safety for this trip please don't hesitate to ask.   I think you'd be surprised how much gear I carry in preparation for worst case scenarios.

BUT enough of that.  Here is a short video of my first white fish of 2020.
Enjoy and thanks for watching

WTG Buddy

FYI

Get that heater up on a milk crate or something. Splashing that water on it like that you will be cracking that plate.

I completely agree.    I'd rather not elevate it if I don't have to but will if I have no choice.

My solution and I'm askin the expert DYI guru

Do you think a metal screen, like for windows would withstand the heat omitted by the heater ??

Well done fella. It sounds like it was a harrowing journey getting there. Glad to see you made it back OK.

Only one way to find out. The only thing I can see it doing maybe is,  over heating the brick.
