Boxing day I'm hoping to find some ice Halburton area. I think we still have a while until Cooch freezes and sadly even longer until the big lake. We all wait with crossed fingers.

I was really hopeful to get on cooch this weekend but the first cold night didn't hit -17 and it was windy as hell. I know of a lake further north that a friend lives on that is always early ice and it just capped over in the past day or so. We need a single  night of -20 and no wind. Once stuff closes up its cold enough we shouldn't lose ice. As for the good lake .......needs to change soon or this seasons a bust.
