Jan.10 Perch and Herring compete for my bait.
« on: January 13, 2020, 02:03:23 pm »
With the warm weather upon us again and record rain in the forecast... Tim and I went out for a half day of fishn.

Accessed at a different point than the day before in hopes of getting out to some great spots.  Didn't happen, I got to where 4 inches easily blends with 3 inches and decided to set up.  Tim headed out further checking the ice as he moved.  He caught some great slabs for breakfast!  I let them swim away for a second straight day.  Next time they won't be so lucky.

Herring really put on a show for the cameras.

Enjoy!

Another good vid and tune.

You said herring right ? What the hell, it,s the size of a smelt. LOL Weird to see only one in that mix. Maybe the schools are getting depleted by the lakers that remain in the lake. Also find it weird those perch are hanging over zebras and the weeds are non. Might explain the perch vs whitie theory in the same are.
